Pink and Aqua Brunch Baby Shower

Prepare for picture overload!!  We love this event so much that it was hard to narrow down the images... not a bad problem to have!  This brunch baby shower was for a wonderful woman who is having her second child.  As you can guess.... IT'S A GIRL!!!  The color scheme and ruffle theme were inspired by the colors and texture she chose for the baby's nursery.  We set up a build-your-own crepe bar with sweet and savory crepes.  And it wouldn't be a brunch shower without mimosas!

The cake is a two-tiered vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream.  It's covered in fondant ruffles and a fondant rose!  The inside is what makes it truly special...we will cover that in another post, so stay tuned!

The favors were homemade macarons.  Don't you just love the sign?

We created this ruffled pinboard out of crepe paper.  It will be a perfect addition to the baby's room!

We hope you love it as much as we do!  Leave us a comment and let us know what you think!!

Spring is in the Air!

I don't know about you, but I am loving this mild winter we have been having in Northeast Ohio!!!  Snow is not my friend!  But still the days have been so gray and dreary.  So when the opportunity came up recently to style a birthday party, we immediately knew the theme was Spring.  It was just what we needed to brighten up the gray days we have been having.  We went in an nontraditional "spring" direction and threw out the pastels and opted for a navy and yellow theme.  Throw in some pops of white and you've got yourself a party!

Flower blooms floating in water!  Cute and easy!

Tissue paper poms and flowers are so on trend right now!  We thoughts these tissue paper flowers make a perfect spring back drop.

The cake and sweet treats were done by us!  The cake was a lemon blueberry cake with swiss meringue buttercream and lemon curd filling---so springy!  Chocolate chip scones and peanut butter chocolate chip pretzel cookies rounded off the sweets.
This party was a great way to start Spring.  Hope it made your day too!  Any unique spring color schemes you guys like lately?

Katie and Nate's Wedding Cake

Yeah that's right!  We do cakes!!  As in we make them for our clients!  We love to say that we are a "one-stop-shop" of sorts.  We can do it all!  Design services, cakes, florals, stationary, and even photography-- you name it we can do it ourselves.  We have amazing vendors at our disposal as well!!

Katie and Nate's wedding featured a black and white theme with splashes of pink.  Their cake was a 4-tiered fondant covered cake with black ribbon and icing details.  The flowers are fresh gerbera daisies and roses.  The silver broaches are handmade and edible!
The cake flavors they chose were white chocolate cake with fresh strawberries and swiss buttercream and dark chocolate cake with swiss buttercream--- So DELICIOUS!!
